This annual juried competition has been one of the most popular of the Lawrence Street Gallery events, to patrons and artists alike. Juror, Lucille Nawara, reviewed over 175 works from 95 artists and students all over the Metro-Detroit area. Ms. Nawara said, " . . . I chose works that were light-hearted, others that were mysterious and profound." The theme of the exhibition is the human figure, in all its attitudes and dimensions. The exhibition includes clothed and nude figures, portraiture, abstractions and more in a variety of two and three dimensional media.
